Free Public Talk By Buddhist Scholar & Priest David Loy
David R. Loy presents his book Money, Sex, War, Karma: Notes for a Buddhist Revolution. He offers clear presentations of frequently misunderstood Buddhist staples—karma, the nature of self—while inviting readers to examine topics closer to home, like the real reasons behind our sense of never having enough time, money, sex, or security. A professor of Ethics and Religion at Xavier University, Loy has written many works in comparative religious philosophy. He is a Zen practitioner and authorized teacher in the Sanbo Kyodan lineage of Zen Buddhism who sits on the editorial boards of Contemporary Buddhism and Worldviews. Sponsored by the Haku-un-ji Zen Center ( http://www.zenarizona.com ) and Changing Hands Book Store.
