All serious students of I-Liq Chuan are encouraged to pursue meditation retreats in order to strengthen their concentration.

As such, I invite all I-Liq Chuan students in Arizona to attend the following one day retreat at the Haku-un-ji Zen center in Tempe, Arizona with me.

What: ZAZENKAI (One-Day Retreat)

Important Notes

Your reservation and donation should be received by the zen center no later than Wednesday, September 23 so they can plan and purchase food for the meals.

If it is your first zazenkai at the temple, you should attend a brief orientation that will provide information on the form for the formal meals that are served as part of the zazenkai. Orientation is usually held on the Friday evening before the retreat but is arranged to fit people’s schedules.

Content

The day will include, chanting, tea, meditation, kinhin (walking meditation), dharma talks, breakfast and lunch, personal breaks, work practice and refreshments after closing.
